CURLING HAS ARRIVED! …Again

Soon, very soon, The Blue Mountains will once again echo with the rumble of sliding curling stones, the satisfying thunk of rocks colliding, and the cries of “Hurry! Hurry Hard!” and “Sweep!”

The time for merely talking about curling is over; we are starting to take concrete steps to re-establish one of Canada’s most beloved winter activities in our community.

The efforts to solidify a future for curling in The Blue Mountains necessitates an engaged community at all levels of participation, character and energy.

Our new, modern Beaver Valley Curling Club facility will be home to a community friendly, not-for-profit organization and will be constructed with the assistance of public and private grants, contributions, and tax credits. Currently in place is a core operational group of enthusiastic people working closely and cooperatively to fulfill a mission of providing additional active-lifestyle opportunities to a vast range of community residents. Further, the mandate will be to foster and promote full season programming as well as the “roaring game” of curling.

Your ideas are welcome, as an individual or as a group. We anticipate hearing from you and hope that you will join us in an effort to sustain a vibrant and relevant group and a greater curling community!
